Silver Oak as you may or may not know is almost always a great drinking bottle. This winery hardly ever misses the mark in my opinion with their winemaking techniques. Strong oaky flavor with vanilla complexities blossoming on the palate makes this a great match for a steak or red meat. If you can find it this is a great dinner wine to share with friend and family.

The 2007 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is dark in color and fruit forward with a hint of oak and herbs. It was delicious to the very last drop. Being a 2007 it is not the easiest bottle to find. $60.
